OUR SUNDAY VISITOR'S COVERAGE: Prayers for the Pope | OSV President Reflects on Benedict's Pontificate | Papal Transition 2013 News Round-Up

One week after Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI's retirement, the cardinals have set the date

All 115 of the cardinal-electors are now present at the Vatican, and an announcement of a date for the papal conclave has been made. On Tuesday, March 12, a “pro eligendo Romano Pontifice” Mass will be celebrated in Saint Peter’s Basilica in the morning, and the cardinals will enter into the conclave that afternoon.

As the world watches and the faithful wait in prayer and anticipation, the cardinals will meet to determine who will become our next pontiff. Our Sunday Visitor will update this report when more details are released.
