Catholic Social Teaching is one of the most beautiful and affirming aspects of our faith—but you may find that many of your students, and even their parents, have never heard about it. Fortunately, there’s a great resource available to you to help get the word out.
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has created a Youth Advocate Directory on its website with materials and links to information on Catholic Social Teaching for youth, young adults, elementary and middle school teachers, and high school teachers.
This helpful site categorizes topics according to age-appropriateness and includes information on themes and teachings, facts and issues, and curriculum and other educational resources. There are also sections on how to advocate Catholic Social Teaching, and an Act! section that provides tips and opportunities to take action and get involved in promoting Catholic Social Teaching in your community and the world at large.
